Absolute aanrader! Van adviesgesprek tot bekijken situatie tot installatie, Rein en Peter zijn zeer professioneel en meedenkend. Bij ons zijn er twee buitenunits en 4 binnenunits zonder problemen geplaatst. Met name de units op de bovenste etage zijn zo goed afgewerkt dat je aan de buitenkant helemaal niets ziet. Zij zetten steeds dat stapje extra waardoor je als klant met een gerust hart de installatie aan hun kunt overlaten. Na installatie laten ze alle ruimtes zeer netjes achter.

What to show your VvE

The VvE is responsible for the shared parts of the building, such as the facade and the roof. If the outdoor unit goes there, or the pipework goes through them, put it to the VvE first. This is what you'll want to be able to show.

    At the neighbours' windows and doors that can open, the outdoor unit may cause no more than 40 dB (Article 4.108, Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving, the Dutch building regulations).

Can I have air conditioning installed in an apartment?

Usually, yes. We take into account what has been agreed within your VvE, and where the outdoor unit goes. For that outdoor unit, you often need permission from the VvE.

Who arranges the VvE's permission?

You do that yourself. Rein tells you where the outdoor unit can go and how the pipework runs, so you know what to ask. With the spot, the route and the noise described above, you can put it to them.

Do I need a permit?

That depends on the spot. On the roof or on the facade, your municipality's environment plan (omgevingsplan) decides; according to the Informatiepunt Leefomgeving, the government's information point on these rules, a permit is the starting point there. What about noise for the neighbours?

During the visit, Rein also thinks about the neighbours: where the outdoor unit bothers them least. At the neighbours' windows and doors that can open, it may cause no more than 40 dB. With the calculation tool from the Rijksoverheid, the Dutch central government, you can check for yourself beforehand whether a spot meets that limit.

I rent my apartment. Can I still have air conditioning installed?

Ask your landlord for permission first. According to the Rijksoverheid, your landlord must respond within 8 weeks, and may only refuse if it makes the home harder to let or lowers its value.

How does the warranty work?

You get a standard 2-year warranty, on top of your statutory rights. Have Airco Holland service it every year from the moment it is installed, and the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries manufacturer's warranty runs on for up to 5 years. Airco Holland is certified by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to offer this. The extension to 5 years applies to an air conditioner installed by Airco Holland, counted from the installation date. It starts once your maintenance plan is in place and the first service has been carried out and paid for. Skip the yearly maintenance and the extension lapses. You arrange the maintenance on airco-onderhouden.nl.
